On May 20, 1903, Rosalia Regina Kaiser and her father, Martin Kaiser, were both beaten with a blunt instrument. Martin survived, and Rosalia’s body was found in Tanner’s Creek. Louis Everson was accused and nearly lynched, but he was later released and the case was never solved.
