On July 19, 2020, Paycin K. Kritlow was shot at a graduation party on the day of his high school graduation. The shooter, William James Baker, claimed that his daughter had accused Paycin of sexual assault. William eventually pled guilty to murder on November 2, 2021, and was sentenced to 55 years.
