On October 25, 1992, Vanessa Gay (Edwards) Wells was making a bank deposit after her shift at Ponderosa when she was attacked and robbed by Christopher Lozier, Shawn Davis, and Daniel Widener. Vanessa received a fatal gunshot wound.
