While Gory Tales from Indiana’s Gore initially stemmed from a study of murder cases in the area, this site will eventually expand to include other tragic events. The following categories will be available:
Arsons: Incidents in which a fire was deliberately set, or started due to negligence. Other incidents of fire may be included if they caused significant damage to businesses or community buildings.
Murders: Incidents in which the deliberate violent actions of one person led to the death of another person, or in which death was the intended result but the victim survived.
Natural Disasters: Floods, tornados, landslides, and other incidents in which Mother Nature left devastation in her wake.
Other Tragedies: Any terribly sad incidents not covered by the previous topics, such as suicide, kidnapping, and fatal accidents.
